Personal care helps boost Naturex Q1 sales

Sales reached €83.1m thanks to new ingredients launches and growth in all markets


Naturex, the world market leader in the development and production of natural ingredients for the cosmetics, pharma and food industries, has posted a 13.2% rise in first quarter 2013 sales to €83.1m. Personal care, the evolving arm of the company saw sales increase by 14.4% to €1.5m in the quarter with the stress on innovative products especially a range of premium African plant based combinations directed to the cosmetics market.

Growth in the Europe-Africa market was some 10.2% (€40.3m) compared with 20% for the Americas (€33.4m). Asian-Oceanic region growth in terms of comparable exchange rates was 6.2% owing to a slowdown in ingredient distribution in Australia. Asian growth alone remained strong.
