Parlux announces 43% increase in net sales
Parlux Fragrances has announced $53m net sales for the quarter ended September 30, 2008 - a 43% increase over the $37 million reported for the same period in 2007.
Parlux Fragrances has announced $53m net sales for the quarter ended September 30, 2008 - a 43% increase over the $37 million reported for the same period in 2007.
Fragrance sales for brands under the Parlux name were positive with sales for Fancy, the new Jessica Simpson fragrance, reaching $6.5m within US department stores sales and Fairy Dust, the new Paris Hilton fragrance, making $1.5m despite having just been launched in September this year.
“We are very pleased that the inventory problems encountered during our first quarter have been almost completely resolved”, says chairman and ceo Mr. Neil J. Katz, adding: “Demand for our products continue to be strong in a very difficult economic environment”.
