Anti-ageing products company Nu Skin Enterprises has been given the go ahead to begin direct selling in Shaoxing City in Zhejiang Province, China.
The US company was given approval to start trading in the region by China’s Ministry of Commerce, and is now licensed in 30 cities in 19 provinces and municipalities.
Truman Hunt, President and Chief Executive Officer of Nu Skin said: “We believe the government’s approval of our application is a reflection of our ongoing commitment to work cooperatively with China to ensure healthy, long-term growth of our business.”
He added: “We believe in the potential of China’s large and growing market, and look forward to expanding our footprint in the country.”
According to the Shaoxing City government, the city’s population had reached more than six million in 2013.
