Noveon rebranded as Lubrizol

The company Noveon Inc, part of Lubrizol Corporation, has switched its name to Lubrizol Advanced Materials to create one identity for the company.


The company Noveon Inc, part of Lubrizol Corporation, has switched its name to Lubrizol Advanced Materials to create one identity for the company.

The soon to be former name of Noveon, which Lubrizol purchased in 2004, will only be used for its specialty products. According to Lubrizol, the action is designed to “represent a global specialty chemical company with a broad technology portfolio and employees focused on serving customers' business needs”.

The name change was implemented on 4 June in the US and Canada and the rest of the world will follow by late summer.

“Our goal is to clearly state to our investors, customers and other stakeholders that Lubrizol is a united organization with a common philosophy and vision, focused on growth,” said James Hambrick, Lubrizol's president, chairman and chief executive officer.
