Former Buzzfeed editor Safiya Nygaard topped the list of top earning beauty stars, ahead of Huda Kattan and James Charles
2022's top earning beauty influencers have been revealed, with former Buzzfeed personality Safiya Nygaard taking this year's top spot from Huda Beauty entrepreneur Huda Kattan.
US-based YouTuber Nygaard topped the list with an estimated combined earning of £162,242 across her YouTube, Instagram and TikTok channels, according to the latest figures from comparison platform Cosmetify.
The 30-year-old is predicted to earn £154,859 from a post on YouTube – the most popular social media platform for beauty fans – where she posts content including viral beauty challenges, lifestyle and fashion tips to her 9 million subscribers.
She beat out last year's richest influencer Huda Kattan who came in second place with combined earnings of £146,040; however, the Huda Beauty founder remains Instagram's most successful beauty star, making £138,539 per post.
James Charles, TikTok's highest earning beauty personality, came in third overall with a combined earning of £119,715, remaining a hit with beauty fans despite facing a series of controversies in recent years which saw him dropped as the face of brands such as Morphe.
Rounding out the top five was Hawaii-based YouTube star Bretman Rock, with £100,917 per post, and social personality and make-up artist Nikita Dragun (£82,000 per post).
Jeffree Star (£74,470), Chiara Ferragni (£81,433) and NikkieTutorials (£162,242) are among the other notable content creators and brand founders making an appearance on the list.
