After serving as queen of Egypt more than 2,000 years ago, Cleopatra still appears to be influencing 21st century consumers.
At Cosmoprof Asia 2016 many brands launched new products utilising the former pharaoh’s name and image on packaging, harnessing ingredients from Cleopatra’s legendary skin care and bathing routine. Milk and gold were among the ingredients and colours most commonly associated with the trend – with Cleopatra said to have bathed in donkey milk and slept in a gold face mask.
