She then went on to create her eponymous brand Jo Malone London, which she stepped down from in 2006 after selling the business to Estée Lauder.

While her most recent venture Jo Loves launched in 2011.

The new Rose Petal 25 perfume (£115) uses a blend of bergamot, saffron, lychee, rose water, Turkish rose and Bulgarian rose on a bed of rose de mai absolute, rose absolute and ambrette seed.

Commenting on the new scent, Malone said: “I have loved the scent of rose petals all my life so this year, to celebrate 25 years of being a shopkeeper, I have captured every memory of what this beautiful flowers means to me in Rose Petal 25.”
