French cosmetics company Zuofun is said to be eyeing the African market with plans to set up shop in the Sub Saharan region.

Zuofun has a strong presence in mainland China after launching into the market in 2003 and, with its Chinese manufacturing arm Guangzhou Zuofun Cosmetics, the company has plans to expand its products onto the African market using China’s New Silk Road, and the Belt and Road Initiative. Unveiled by Xi Jinping, President of the People's Republic of China, in 2013, the initiative aims to upgrade trade links between East Asia and Africa via the Middle East.
