The UK’s fragrance sector accounted for £7.5bn in consumer spending in 2018, a £7.1bn gross value added contribution to UK GDP, according to a new survey by The Fragrance Foundation and Oxford Economics.
The research found that the fragrance sector’s £7.1bn GDP contribution accounted for 0.3% of all economic activity generated in the UK in 2018, while stimulating £2.1m in tax revenues to the Exchequer.
