Elevation of beauty heavyweight’s Asia/Pacific division is now underway
Beauty multinational Estée Lauder Companies (ELC) has named Mark Loomis as its new North American President, amid a mass reshuffle of executive jobs at the business.
Loomis, currently President of ELC’s Asia/Pacific region, succeeds Chris Good, who announced his exit last week, effective 1 February 2022.
Reporting directly to Fabrizio Freda, ELC’s CEO and President, he will be held accountable for the business’ top and bottom line results in the US and Canada, across all brands and channels.
Much of Loomis’ 25-year career at ELC has been spent in the Asia division of the business, having delivered exceptional results in Japan and Canada – according to the company.
“We are thrilled that Mark will take on leadership of our home market in North America,” said Freda.
“Mark has successfully built and led high-performance organisations throughout his 25 years at The Estée Lauder Companies, delivering incredible results through his visionary strategic leadership and collaborative style.
“I look forward to our continued close partnership as Mark leads our talented North America team to build on their successes as the region continues to gain momentum.”
Following Loomis’ exit, Joy Fan will be promoted to President and CEO, China, for the business, reporting to Peter Jueptner, ELC’s new President, International, who takes over from Cedric Prouvé.
Meanwhile, Matthew Growdon, currently General Manager, Japan, will be promoted to Senior VP and General Manager of the Asia/Pacific division.
“This important evolution in our regional enterprise structure reflects our dedication to leveraging the unique talents, local expertise and proven track records of internally-trained leaders across the organisation,” added Freda.
“As we continue to elevate our commitment to China and Chinese consumers, these updates will also reinforce our focus on Asia/Pacific to realise future business growth.”
The outgoing International President, Prouvé, added: “This business evolution will further enable our regions to lead in an increasingly complex and competitive beauty landscape.
“I have every confidence in Joy’s and Matthew’s strong leadership of our talented China and Asia/Pacific teams and they know they will take our business to even greater heights as they step into their new roles.”
