DKSH has entered into an agreement with Eastman to distribute the specialty materials company’s personal care ingredients in the Asia Pacific region.

Under the agreement, DKSH will provide marketing and sales, as well as distribution and logistics for Eastman’s materials for hair care and colour cosmetics.

Eastman’s portfolio of cosmetic and personal care ingredients includes adhesion promoters, film formers and emollient esters.

The deal progresses the historic relationship between Axieo, a company recently acquired by DKSH, and Eastman, with Axieo having provided services for Eastman for over 30 years in Australia.

Christian Derbez, Director, APAC Region at Eastman, commented: “As a specialty materials company, we continue to expand our in-house R&D and formulation skills and capabilities.

“Complementary to this, we will now also be drawing on the valuable formulation expertise of DKSH, a company deeply rooted in communities across the Asia Pacific region that has its own labs. This will help local customers get access to our personal care and cosmetics innovations more swiftly and easily.”

“We have a dedicated team of more than 100 personal care specialists who understand the language of the brand owners in the Asia Pacific region,” added Roland Kraut, Vice President, Global Personal Care Industry, Performance Materials, DKSH.

“We are excited about this relationship and look forward to putting Eastman’s products in the spotlight in this important market.”
