Beauty boosted UK economy by £28bn in 2018

New report by British Beauty Council finds UK consumers spent £27.2bn on beauty products last year

Beauty contributed £28.4bn to the UK economy last year, according to a report commissioned by the British Beauty Council (BBC). 

The BBC, which was created in 2018 to represent the British beauty industry, commissioned the ‘Value of Beauty’ report from research company Oxford Economics, which specialises in analysis of economic, social and business impact, with the aim of discovering the true value of the industry to the UK.
