BURST Oral Care teams up with Call of Duty to support war veterans

Inspired by the upcoming Call of Duty Black Ops – Cold War, the US-based brand is releasing a limited edition sonic toothbrush with 20% of sales going to veteran charities

BURST Oral Care, the subscription-based toothbrush brand, has teamed up with gaming phenomenon Call of Duty to help war veterans find high quality jobs during National Veterans and Military Families Month.

Ahead of the highly anticipated release of Call of Duty Black Ops – Cold War, the latest instalment of the million-selling first-person shooting game, BURST has launched a limited edition Call of Duty-branded sonic toothbrush, with 20% of all sales going towards the Call of Duty Endowment (C.O.D.E.) to support veterans as they return to civilian life.

Founded in 2009 – at a time when a third of former military service members could not find a job – the non-profit donates to charities that help prepare veterans for high quality jobs.

Today, it is estimated to have helped more than 70,000 veterans find stable employment, with an above average starting salary, according to the company.

Speaking about the partnership, Brittany Stewart, co-founder of BURST, said: “My father and grandfather are both veterans; I have the utmost respect for the work, dedication and sacrifices that our active military members, veterans and their families have made and continue to make for our country.

“Many of our 26,000+ dental professional ambassadors have spouses and/or family members in the military, so we are honoured to support those that have served by partnering with the Call of Duty Endowment.”

As part of the partnership, BURST's website will feature audio and visual features designed to bring visitors into the Call of Duty world, creating an “immersive shopping experience”, according to the brand.

The BURST x C.O.D.E. Sonic Toothbrush is available now from the brand's website and can be purchased individually (US$99.99) or as part of a bundle, which includes a limited edition BURST Travel Case, Expanding Floss and Toothpaste, as well as a Call of Duty snapback hat ($129.99).
