Chemicals company successfully merges with microbial solutions provider Troy Corporation

Arxada, a Swiss speciality chemicals company, has completed its first-ever takeover deal since splitting from Lonza Group.

Formerly Lonza Speciality Ingredients, Arxada is set to benefit from Troy’s technical expertise and broad portfolio of products.

By onboarding Troy’s five new production sites, handful of R&D centres and 650 employees, Arxada will also drive up its commercial presence globally.

Following its initial announcement of a takeover with Troy, Arxada has acquired Enviro Tech Chemical Services, a manufacturer of antimicrobial and biocidal products.

Speaking about the new deals, Marc Doyle, Arxada’s Chief Executive, said: “The completion of two strategic deals in our first six months as an independent company shows our commitment to strengthening our position as a partner of choice in microbial control through the addition of new applications and active ingredients in our portfolio.

“We are delighted to welcome our new colleagues and look forward to building on our combined expertise to deliver new solutions and services to our customers.”

Financial details of the deal have not been disclosed.
