APC Packaging, a women-owned and rapidly growing beauty packaging solutions provider celebrating their 15 year anniversary later this month, announced that they achieved the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC) certification.
Founded in 1997, the WBENC certification for women-owned businesses is the most recognised and sought after of its kind.
WBENC is the largest certifier of women-owned businesses in the US and a leading advocate for women business owners and entrepreneurs.
The process for WBENC includes an in-depth review of the business and a site inspection to confirm that a majority of the business is not only owned and controlled, but also run by women.
“It’s an honor to be recognized as a certified women-owned business, as women in the US and around the world continue to inspire in the beauty industry and continue to be accomplished business leaders globally” states CEO, Lisa Lin.
According to WBENC, this certificate is recognized by more than 1,000 corporations representing America's most prestigious brands, in addition to many states, cities and other entities.
A WBENC certification is regarded as highly beneficial for business opportunities and serving as a resource to offer training that helps the Corporate Member and the WBENC-Certified WBE grow their capacity.
CEO, Lisa Lin along with her sister, President, Christina Lin have grown APC Packaging into a multi-million dollar global business with a focus on skin care, innovation and sustainability in the beauty packaging arena for global brands including Estee Lauder, Clinique, Glamglow, Beauty Stat and Dr. Brandt.
The WBENC as well as APC Packaging believe that diversity promotes innovation and partnerships that help both sides thrive and succeed.
