New from BASF is Luviset Shape, decribed as a unique styling polymer specifically developed for fast drying, non-tacky aqueous based hairsprays to provide long-lasting crunchy hold.

BASF says Luviset Shape exhibits exceptional stiffness and humidity resistance compared to other fixative resins.

In 55% VOC hairsprays Luviset Shape is said to be significantly less tacky than an equivalent polymer, allowing the film formed to dry almost immediately without tack, therefore providing a superior styling experience. The ingredient’s very low viscosity is suitable in formulations even when water content is high and allows for a fine spray pattern and even delivery leading to unobtrusive but highly effective hairstyle control.
