International Paper subsidiary Shorewood Packaging has developed a high lustre metallic coating, Shorebrite II.

The new coating, claimed to provide an extreme level of brilliance, is applied before the addition of seven layers of translucent ink colours and any optional coating finishes. The process produces rich high lustre colours with consistent coverage.

Shorebrite II was created by collaborative work between Shorewood’s in-house corporate inks and coatings specialists, coating suppliers and Shorewood’s manufacturing, creative, and innovation and product development teams.
