Mibelle has come up with a new term to describe the activity of its latest skin care ingredient. Inflamm’aging is being used to describe the close relationship between inflammation and ageing; ie inflammation of the skin increases with age and accelerates the formation of fine lines and wrinkles as well as puffiness, sagging, blotchiness or reddening.
To address this Mibelle’s new MAXnolia ingredient inhibits the activation of NF-KB, a key mediator in this inflammatory process responsible for intrinsic skin ageing. The material is based on a premium bark extract of magnolia containing 2 pharmacologically active substances – magnolol and honokiol – said to synergistically inhibit the inflammatory and ageing processes.
MAXnolia is said to help extend the youthful appearance of skin by protecting it against chronic inflammation, neutralising internal ageing factors and reducing skin redness.
