New from Smurfit Kappa is SKuffguard, a soft non-abrasive liner for corrugated board that protects products from being scuffed, scratched or damaged while in the supply chain.


New from Smurfit Kappa is SKuffguard, a soft non-abrasive liner for corrugated board that protects products from being scuffed, scratched or damaged while in the supply chain.

The liner means that extra inner protective packaging, such as polystyrene or bubblewrap, is no longer required resulting in cost efficiency and environmental benefits.

Due to the absence of protective packaging the new product will also enable the design of packs that fit snugly around a product reducing the size and amount of packaging needed.

SKuffguard is suitable for packing glass and plastic and can be applied to single, double and triple wall heavy duty board. It is also suitable for all pack sizes and is 100% recyclable.
