Luxury finish

Edelmann Group will introduce cold foil transfer at Luxe Pack (stand DG1/DF2 in the Grimaldi Forum) in Monaco. Edelmann says this new technology opens entirely new perspectives for luxury goods companies for the finishing of folding boxes. Visitors to the exhibition are given the opportunity to see the new Edelmann demonstration tape ‘CEMETAL’, which illustrates the variety of possibilities, in particular the use of silver and metal effects.

"Cold foil transfer enables, for instance, a new quality when combining metal foil with colour on printed photos and images," emphasises Matthias Welp, premium packaging division manager of Edelmann Group. "The procedure applies the foil to the print substrate using an offset printed adhesive. This allows the precise depiction of fine structures and elements such as writing, lines, gradients and grids as well as large areas. The high register accuracy of the procedure must also be emphasised."
