Lumson Venice is the hub located in the province of Venice (VE) which was set up in the 1950s and is now at the cutting-edge of plastic cosmetic packaging, moulding and production. It represents a true centre of excellence within the Lumson Group, a leading Italian company in primary packaging.
Organised in alignment with GMP standards, Lumson Venice industrial site extends over an area of 7,000 m2. Its design ensures quality and efficiency, and meticulous attention to detail. In this perfect balance between craftmanship and industrial manufacturing, Lumson’s unmistakable Italian heritage and know-how can be expressed fully - a blend of creativity, superior quality and technological evolution.
STANDARD AND CUSTOM SOLUTIONS
The hub features a wide range of moulding technologies and high-speed machinery for blow-moulding extrusion and injection and stretch blow moulding, designed to meet the needs of skincare, haircare, personal care, suncare and bodycare sectors. These technologies mean the hub can work with a variety of materials, and deliver solutions that are both versatile and sustainable: PE and PCR-PE bottles, PETG and rPETG, PP, PE/PP soft touch, as well as EVOH and PA/LDPE pouches. In addition, PET rPET bottles (made with up to 70% PCR) and 100% PCR rPET solutions.
Lumson Venice fully embodies the Group’s industrial approach and vision, as explained by President, Matteo Moretti: “The Santa Maria di Sala hub reflects our savoir-faire and our mission, which is to create packaging solutions that look to the future but also remember our roots. In my view, this is essential if we are to compete in a fragmented and highly competitive market such as today's. We have opted to focus on creativity, technology and new forms of expression, offering a modern and forward-looking vision of ‘Made in Italy’ built on tradition, innovation and a global outlook.”
Among the site's flagship services, the development of custom-made packaging solutions plays a central role. The entire process, from design development to the creation of exclusive moulds and aesthetic enhancement is carried out in-house and is supported by a wide range of decoration technologies.
Even standard items can also be internally customised to express a distinctive identity. Multiple techniques are available, from hot stamping to silk-screen printing. Given the broad spectrum available of shapes, materials and capacities (from 10ml to 1000ml), every choice can be completed by choosing from an extensive catalogue of atmospheric and airless pumps, droppers, caps and numerous accessories, all manufactured by Lumson. This results in fully-integrated packaging solutions that complement the formula and remain fully aligned with the brand’s positioning.
