Laboratoires Expanscience give food industry by-products a second life: 64% of our ingredients are made of by-products.
For example, we upcycle maracuja seeds, by-products of the fruit juice industry, to obtain a sensorial ingredient, the virgin maracuja oil from which is produced our repairing ingredient Passioline. The cakes from pressing are in turn upcycled to produce our antipollution ingredient Ormesia.
As a "no waste" example with our avocados we use 100% of the fruit to produce: 1 drug, 3 cosmetic active ingredients and 3 sensorial ingredients.
