L\'Oréal sales in India set to increase fourfold
French cosmetics giant plans to develop market specific products
L'Oréal sales in India are set to increase fourfold in the period to 2020, according to president Jean-Paul Agon. The group has inaugurated its new research centre in Mumbai to develop market specific products.
Sales in India are expected to increase at about 20% annually to 70bn rupees or €979m by 2020. Current market share is 8% and the company faces competition from both Procter & Gamble and Hindustan Unilever.
