In September, niche French fragrance brand L’Artisan Parfumeur will launch a new collection of perfumes, Les Explosions d'Emotions.
The collection comprises three scents created by celebrated perfumer Bertrand Duchaufour, whom, the company says, was given a free hand in their creation. They are: Amour Nocturne, which has notes of cedar, hot milk, caramel, gunpowder and orchid; Déliria, which has notes of metal, rum, toffee apple and candyfloss; and Skin on Skin, which has notes of iris, suede, saffron, whiskey, lavender and rose, on a base of musks and ‘skin effects’. All three perfumes come in a new design of bottle, which is octagonal and faceted, but much shorter and squatter than L'Artisan’s usual bottle style. The outer packaging is also different. In place of the brand’s usual tall, black card boxes come cubic, matt white, tooled card boxes, with each scent featuring a different embossed design.
A 125ml edp costs €165 and the fragrances will be available from L'Artisan’s usual selected outlets, and online from the brand’s website. “Each perfume in the Les Explosions d'Emotions collection has its own strong and distinct identity,” said the brand. “Their immaculate caskets are sculpted and textured. It is the union of material and luxury, French style.”
