Kyowa Hakko and Daiichi merge European businesses
Kyowa Hakko Europe GmbH (KHE) and Daiichi Fine Chemical Europe GmbH (DFE) are to merge following the acquisition of the Daiichi Fine Chemical Co Ltd (DFK) by Kyowa Hakko Bio Co Ltd (KHB), Kyowa Hakko Kirin’s biochemical affiliate.
Kyowa Hakko Europe GmbH (KHE) and Daiichi Fine Chemical Europe GmbH (DFE) are to merge following the acquisition of the Daiichi Fine Chemical Co Ltd (DFK) by Kyowa Hakko Bio Co Ltd (KHB), Kyowa Hakko Kirin’s biochemical affiliate.
KHE will take over all DFE activity but will maintain the business function of the ‘Daiichi Fine Chemical Division’ as one of KHE’s divisions. KHE is to be sole distributor of products from DFK, whose materials include vitamins such as D-Calcium Pantothenate and Dexpanthenol for the cosmetic, pharmaceutical and food industries in EMEA countries. The Daiichi Fine Chemical Division of KHE will continue to distribute products from principals other than DFK.
