Singer, actress and television personality Kelly Rowland has given away details about a cosmetics line she is creating with her make-up artist Sheika Daley.
The 35-year-old, who first found fame as a member of pop group Destiny’s Child in the nineties, revealed early details of her make-up range a promotional event for Claritin yesterday.
According to essence.com, Rowland confirmed plans of her debut venture into the beauty business. She is said to have told essence.com: “My make-up artist Sheika Daley and I are actually starting a make-up line we’re making sure we make well, we’re starting off with lashes and then we’re going to have it grow for all women.” She is reported to have added: “But definitely making sure we have our chocolate girls covered. Gotta get the chocolate girls in there! We have to have that, you know. I think Iman has done a beautiful make-up line and I want to do it too.”
Since the news broke, Rowland’s fans have been showing their support for the venture on social media. Mrs. Kinky E tweeted: “Always excited to see what this young lady is doing. We need more product lines that are dedicated to women of color”.
