Kao to expand its Darmstadt site in Germany
New site to become the biggest Kao site in Europe
Kao is to extend its Darmstadt headquarters into what will be the corporation’s largest European site. This news was recently announced by Karin Overbeck, president of Kao Germany, at a press conference with the Mayor of Darmstadt, Jochen Partsch, held late last week.
Fifteen million euros is being invested in the project and the general planner involved is Darmstadt-based Georg Schmidt Architects. The building will comprise of four storeys and house 300 staff, covering 4,000 square metres. The headquarters will be ready for occupation by the end of 2013 and they will also house a new Goldwell and KMS California Academy.
Said Overbeck: “The decision in favour of Darmstadt is part of Kao’s international growth strategy.”
