New from sourcing and distribution specialist Safic-Alcan is Sarigel 56 CG, an ingredient that can be prepared for use simply by adding water.
On contact with water, the ingredient instantly produces a gel. Safic say that the material is soluble in hot or cold water and is said to easily form a non sticky gel at 3% in water. It can be used as a rheology reagent, emusifier and can be added to either the oil or aqueous phase of an emulsion system to give a thickened cream. Safic also says it is easy to use with good pH and temperature stability.
