A new technique has been developed by the Fukui Prefectural University in Japan to extract collagen from jellyfish to be used for cosmetics and pharmaceuticals


A new technique has been developed by the Fukui Prefectural University in Japan to extract collagen from jellyfish to be used for cosmetics and pharmaceuticals

Researchers found that when kept at low temperatures, jellyfish actually decompose. Collagen fibres can then be isolated and purified from the liquified jellyfish.
