Azelis to market cosmetic raw materials including hair care products

Showa Denko, a Japanese chemical engineering company, has formed a business alliance with distributor Azelis involving the marketing of Showa Denko’s cosmetic materials in Europe.

Under the agreement, Azelis will exclusively market Showa Denko’s cosmetic raw materials in Europe. These include: hair care products (DL-Cysteine and Spiera), a slimming agent (Hi-Carnitine) and vitamin derivatives (Apm, Apprecier and Tpna).

Through the partnership, Showa Denko is hoping for a significant spike in European sales of the materials by “taking advantage of Azelis’ sales network in European countries and expertise and know-how about development of formulas that meet European consumers’ needs”, Showa Denko stated.

Azelis distributes chemicals in 40 countries to more than 27,000 customers. In cosmetics, Azelis has developed more than 3,000 formulas.
