Japanese male grooming brand Bulk Homme has secured investment from Chinese prestige beauty brand developer Ushopal.
The undisclosed amount of G round financing is expected to boost Bulk Homme's presence in China.
Ushopal – which names Juliette Has A Gun, Chantecaille, Suqqu and Natura Bisse as brand partners – has been described as "China's leading international luxury brand group next to Estée Lauder, Shiseido and L'Oréal".
Takuya Noguchi, CEO of Bulk Homme, said: "Our vision has always been to become the world number one men skin care brand, and we are rapidly expanding our business on a global scale.
"The reason to choose Ushopal as our shareholder is the strategic importance of the China market for Bulk Homme.
"We are committed to working with Ushopal with their outstanding ability to enter the Chinese market for brands."
Founded in 2013, Bulk Homme offers consumers its Face Wash, Toner, Lotion, Shampoo, Treatment, Scalp Serum and Bubble Net.
The men's beauty specialists signed Paris Saint-Germain footballer Kylian Mbappé to be the face of its European expansion in 2019.
