IRB unveils three-tier solution to collagen loss

New gardenia jasmine-derived active boosts collagen synthesis and inhibits collagenase

New from Istituto di Ricerche Biotecnologiche (IRB) is Gardenia Jasminoides Stems G, a three-level approach to tackling collagen loss. The preservative-free ingredient, comprising 20% gardenia jasmine (Gardenia jasminoides) stem cells in plant glycerine, is claimed to help stimulate the physiological synthesis of new collagen, strongly inhibit collagenase by limiting collagen degradation and decrease the synthesis of MMP-1 (collagenase), which is involved in extracellular matrix degradation.
