Interparfums signs fragrance deal with Boucheron
Replaces contract with L’Oréal
French jewellery group Boucheron and Interparfums have signed an exclusive worldwide licensing agreement for the creation and development of perfumes under the Boucheron brand. The agreement will run from January 2011 for 15 years and will replace a contract between the jewellery group and L'Oréal.
Interparfums will work in close collaboration with Boucheron to exploit the deluxe market positioning of the brand. A new line of perfumes will be launched by 2012 to add to Inter's existing portfolio of luxury perfume brands. Jean-Christophe Bedos, ceo of Boucheron, said the deal presented an exciting opportunity at a time when the company was seeking a new strategic direction for its perfumes.
