Sephora has become the first beauty retailer to release a publicly available chemicals policy, in the interests, it says, of strengthening ingredient safety and transparency.
By 2020, the retailer aims to disclose all intentionally added ingredients for every beauty and personal care product it stocks, and over the next three years it also hopes to halve the number of products it sells that contain chemicals of concern such as formaldehyde, oxybenzone and phthalates.
