Helen of Troy reports record sales and earnings
Personal care division bolsters growth
Household and personal care manufacturer and marketer Helen of Troy has reported a sharp rise in net sales and net income for the second quarter and six months ended 31 August, 2010.
Second quarter net sales jumped 7.8% to $174m, while net income was up 47.5% to £23m for the same period. Net sales for the first six months were put at $334m, an increase of 9.4%, with net income registering a 37.6% increase to $41m.
Net sales for the personal care segment increased 8.7% to $231m for the first six months.
