HCP signs marketing agreement with Hana

HCP has entered into an exclusive marketing agreement with Korean company Hana to sell its one-handed click pen. The pen features a patented side push button, positioned close to the applicator tip, which is said to overcome issues inherent in traditional click and twist pen designs. While the rotary click system can present problems with after-drip, a side effect of the time lag between consumer rotation and the pen’s dispensing of the product, Hana’s much shorter pen design is said to solve this problem by allowing the dispensing system to be shut off immediately. The push button’s location also enables consumers to operate the pack with just one hand and allows for simultaneous dispensing and application.

The click pen comes in a 5.5ml pack and a 2ml refillable and features a PBT brush tip suitable for lip glosses, concealers and cream applications. Eyeliner and silicone tip applicator systems are currently in development as line extensions.
