Guinot to create French beauty institute network
Expects 80 institutes to open in 2013
The Guinot Mary Cohr group, the leading French professional skin care brand, is to create a beauty institute network of reference in France and expects to open 80 institutes this year.
The first institutes were launched in 2010 on a pilot basis and the company now has 55. Jean-Daniel Mondin, founder of the group, said there was a need to modernise and to professionalise the sector with well-trained aestheticians and specific methodologies of care.
Mondin added that the level of frequentation of hairdressing salons stood at about 75% for women between 18 and 75 compared with only 10% for beauty care institutes. Guinot expects that with the injection of a known brand new clients will be drawn in. Guinot’s existing units have already seen an increase in client numbers with product prices ranging between €25 and €150.
The operation is being backed up with a training centre for advisors in Paris with a current roll of 100.
