The hand cream harnesses the power of the edelweiss flower, which has been shown to extend cell life and fight cell damage caused by UV

Green People has harnessed the UV protective benefits of the edelweiss flower for its latest hand cream.

The flower is said to be a powerful antioxidant that is able to survive at high altitude levels, despite high levels of ultraviolet.

According to the brand, edelweiss extracts have been shown to extend skin cell life and fight cell damage caused by UV rays.

The Edelweiss & Green Tea Hand Guard SPF30 (£17) also uses green tea as a key ingredient to protect skin from free radicals, which are responsible for many aspects of premature ageing.

Meanwhile, aloe vera, chamomile, avocado and marshmallow are used to nourish skin without leaving it feeling greasy.

Green People recommends applying the product every morning and topping up after users wash their hands.

The product is now available from greenpeople.co.uk.
