Developed in the US by plastic surgeon Dr Barry J Cohen, pH Advantage is now being introduced to the UK. Cohen is said to be one of the first in the field to recognise that conditioning the skin with medical grade topical creams will enhance the work of cosmetic procedures creating lasting effects for healthier skin.

The range is said to deliver the highest glycolic acid levels currently available in a cosmeceutical at retail. The pH Advantage skin care line is divided into six product groups: Regimen 1, Regimen 2, Control Regimen, Boosters, Basics and Acne Treatment. Regimen 1 starts by gently exfoliating to begin the renewal process and includes AM/PM Cleanser, AM/PM Balancing Toner, and AM and PM Moisturisers. After three months users move on to Regimen 2, using the same routine but with products containing higher levels of glycolic acid. After another three months users switch to the Control range to maintain results. The Boosters are designed to work synergistically with the Regimens to enhance the work, the key product being the 10/50 Exfoliating Pads, an at home mini peel treatment.
