Beauty application solutions company Geka is celebrating the expansion of its headquarters in Bechhofen, Germany.
The facility has almost doubled in size to 22,000sqm and allows Geka to offer new silk screen printing technology plus upgraded hot foil printing capability. Investment and upgrades in metallisation and lacquering will also increase output and quality levels, says Geka.
Injection blow moulding activities will be improved by the optimised use of resins, ensuring ideal material properties as well as a reduction in energy consumption.
Meanwhile, automation additions include interconnected robots, conveyor belts, machine vision systems and automatic guided vehicles, to help streamline and speed up key processes.
Finally, two floors of additional office space create an attractive environment for business activity and the best possible workplace for Geka staff.
Bernd Wagner, Chief Operating Officer at Geka, commented: “Our new centre of excellence in Bechhofen will be an efficient and sustainable one-stop-shop for high-precision beauty application solutions.
“By upgrading our main facility and implementing advanced manufacturing technologies, we will be able to support our customers’ current and future needs.”
