in-cosmetics – the ingredients of innovation
A wide range of innovative ingredients for skin care and other cosmetic applications were highlighted in the in-cosmetics innovation seminar programme in Barcelona. They included natural actives – plant extracts, marine extracts, plant stem cells – emollients, preservatives, products with anti-glycation and anti-inflammatory properties, amino acids, polymers and surfactants.

Galaxy Surfactants acquires majority stakes in TRI-K and OTC
<p>India’s Galaxy Surfactants says it has acquired a majority stake in TRI-K Industries Inc, the US-based distributor and producer of speciality ingredients to the cosmetics industry. The deal is said to include Maybrook and makes Galaxy the majority owner with Dr Gerd Dahms & Associates holding a minority share. Galaxy has also acquired a majority shareholding in Oberhausen Technology Center (OTC) in Germany, described as a state-of-the-art R&D facility for personal care products. Dahms is md of OTC. </p>
