From black to white for Tom Ford

Following the success of Black Orchid, designer Tom Ford has launched a second feminine fragrance, White Patchouli. The use of patchouli in fragrance has sometimes made perfumes dark and heavy but Ford claims to have created a lighter, easier to wear fragrance. “I wanted to free patchouli from that cliché and present it in a truly innovative way – sparkling, sophisticated and clear,” says Ford.

The use of patchouli in fragrance has sometimes made perfumes dark and heavy but Ford claims to have created a lighter, easier to wear fragrance. “I wanted to free patchouli from that cliché and present it in a truly innovative way – sparkling, sophisticated and clear,” says Ford.

The fragrance is constructed around pure patchouli, freshened by rose de mai absolute orpur and patchouli orpur.

Ford has also added a luxurious body cream to his Black Orchid fragrance collection. The cream contains a blend of emollients to soften and condition the skin, along with glucose, sucrose and fructose that are said to act as natural humectants.
