Femme fatale
Lancôme is describing its launch of Fatale mascara as the birth of a cult mascara. Fatale contains a Filtex coating formula and Plump Wax complex and uses an Ampliforme 3D comb, said to have taken four years of development. The Filtex formula combines a plasticizing agent with a silicone polymer while the Plump Wax formula uses a concentrate of soft coating waxes, including carnauba, beeswax, jojoba and paraffin. The complex combines with cationic and anionic polymers to coat the lash.
The patent-protected Ampliforme 3D comb is made of three mini-combs and three reservoirs said to coat and shape lashes with a single brush stroke. Designed to separate and define while providing volume and shape, Fatale is claimed to organise the lashes evenly across the whole width of the eye. There are five shades: Noir Fatal, Brun Sensuel, Saphir Glamour, Emeraude Provocante, and Améthyste Envoutante.
