German specialty chemicals company Evonik has reshuffled its Supervisory Board in order to strengthen its focus on its specialty chemicals business and future growth targets. As a result of the changes, operational responsibility for the entire specialty chemicals business will be transferred to Patrik Wohlhauser from January 2014. Meanwhile, Thomas Haeberle and Dahai Yu will be leaving the company by mutual agreement effective from December.
Commenting on the changes, Werner Müller, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Evonik, said: “The reorgansation of Evonik as a listed specialty chemicals company would not have been possible without the full commitment of Dr Haeberle and Dr Yu. They played a key role in shaping the successful repositioning of the group.”
