Estée Lauder Cos inks exclusive deal with Unigen
Agreement relates to natural ingredient development
Beauty giant Estée Lauder Companies (ELC) has announced it has entered into an exclusive product license and supply agreement with natural ingredients supplier Unigen. The agreement includes the development and commercialisation of Unigen’s proprietary ingredients which are used in the cosmetic, personal care, food and pharmaceutical industries, as well as giving ELC exclusive rights to new ingredients discoveries.
“The combination of Unigen’s commitment to developing highly effective cosmetics ingredients with the Estée Lauder Companies’ outstanding product development expertise will result in even better performing products for our customers,” commented Harvey Gedeon, executive vp, global research, development and product innovation, ELC. “We are pleased to have the exclusive rights to important Unigen discoveries – the first of which is now being used in Clinique’s Even Better Clinical Dark Spot Corrector and Derma White Clinical Brightening Essence.
