Estée Lauder Companies (ELC) has appointed Angela Wei Dong, Global Vice President and General Manager for Greater China of sportswear brand Nike, to its board of directors.
Dong will bring her decades of experience in branding and consumer goods marketing, with a focus on Chinese consumers, to ELC, providing the MAC owner with useful insights to guide its business going forward, according to the company.

“In addition to her background in finance, Angela brings strong experience in strategic branding and marketing of consumer goods, in particular for Chinese consumers.
“We are excited that Angela has joined our board.”
Since joining Nike in 2005, Dong has served in a number of positions for the sportswear brand, and has worked in her current role of Global Vice President since 2015.
She also currently serves on the board of Belgian-Swiss chocolate manufacturer Barry Callebaut.
Dong is the 17th member to join ELC's board, following the company's appointment of Arturo Nuñez, former Head of Marketing at Apple, back in April.
