Estée Lauder has announced that its Aramis and Designer Fragrance Division (ADF) will assume the exclusive worldwide license for Marni, the Milan based luxury fashion design company.

While terms of the deal haven’t been disclosed, global brand president of ADF, Veronique Gabai-Pinsky commented: “Marni adds to our overall strategy by building on our European fragrance business in the high end segment. Marni is a luxury brand with a loyal cult-like following that appeals globally to a sophisticated, trend-conscious customer.”

Gianni Castigio, ceo of Marni added that the company is: “delighted to be working with the Estée Lauder Companies, a world leader in fragrance, cosmetics and skin care, to expand our business.”

Marni was founded in 1994 by Consuelo and Gianni Castiglioni when the stylists launched their first women’s clothing collection. This was followed by a men’s line in 2002 and their first fragrance is set to be launched in the fall of 2012.
