EpiCalmin TCM is a synergic combination of 3 plants used in traditional Chinese medicine (TCM). TCM is holistic and thus looks at the organism as a whole. TCM believes that skin disorders reflect changes in overall health.
In collaboration with an expert in TCM, Mibelle Biochemistry designed a protective and soothing active ingredient called EpiCalmin TCM to reinforce the skin’s natural defense system.
EpiCalmin TCM combines 3 different plants which were selected according to their strong soothing activity long known in TCM. For the first time, Mibelle Biochemistry scientifically demonstrated the mechanism of activity for this specific plant combination by gene array analysis and proved its efficacy by in-vivo studies.
Results showed that EpiCalmin TCM effectively reinforces the skin’s self-protection against dehydration, oxidative stress and also degradation of the extra-cellular matrix. Thus EpiCalmin TCM which is ECOCERT approved, actively protects the skin and prevents premature aging.

Formulating with EpiCalmin TCM
- Recommended concentration: 2 - 5%
- Incorporation: For cold processes, dissolve EpiCalmin TCM into the aqueous phase.
In hot/cold processes, add during the cooling phase below 40°C. - Thermostability: temperatures of up to 60°C over a short time do not affect the stability of EpiCalmin TCM.
