DuPont introduces sustainable exfoliator
New from DuPont is an exfoliating micropowder containing 37% renewably sourced ingredients by weight. The key monomer in Gotalene RS 310 is bio-derived 1,3-propanediol, which consumes 40% less energy than the chemically derived version.

According to DuPont, consumer tests delivered a 98% positive result regarding Gotalene RS 310’s exfoliating efficiency. It was also felt to have a superior exfoliating action than polyethylene beads of the same particle size (10µm-315µm).
In vivo and in vitro tests, meanwhile found it to be non-sensitising and non-irritating with no inflammatory or cytotoxic effects.
Gotalene RS 310 can be used in exfoliating gels, creams, body scrubs, shower gels, butters, hand soap cleansers, foot care and hair care products.
