Clinique provides superdefence against stress

Clinique’s latest product is designed to defend skin from the effects of emotional and psychological stress. According to Clinique, stress causes the body to release adrenaline and cortisol, which can cause irritation and loss of immune function. Superdefense SPF 25 Age Defense Moisturiser contains extracts of red microalgae to help counteract the visible effects of stress.


Clinique’s latest product is designed to defend skin from the effects of emotional and psychological stress. According to Clinique, stress causes the body to release adrenaline and cortisol, which can cause irritation and loss of immune function. Superdefense SPF 25 Age Defense Moisturiser contains extracts of red microalgae to help counteract the visible effects of stress.

The moisturiser also acts against external aggressors; it contains sun screen and anti oxidants to protect against sun and pollution, and padina pavonica extract, which helps the skin absorb calcium to build a stronger moisture barrier. Full spectrum sun protection is provided by octisalate and avobenzone, which are suspended in a floating matrix on the skin’s surface to reduce chances of sensitivity.
